That moment when you wake up from sleep and look outside to the sky. The light is out, but the sun has not yet risen. The sky looks a tone of gray, and the silhouettes of the trees around are shaded black. The outside scenery resembles a black and white photo, and if not for the colors on the interior of our home, one might believe we were living in an old-time photograph… as if brought back in time by the view of our present setting. Without beams of sunlight to grab the sky, color does not exist. And then it’s noticed: beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
