GENERAL INFORMATION

The snake has cold and slippery skin. Snakes always move calmly and cautiously, and act very sharply and quickly once they snap up their prey. In the Chinese tradition, Snake is a symbol for wisdom, caution, intuition, attraction, intelligence, and mysticism. It is the sixth animal symbol in the 12 Chinese Animals System. We use Si to represent the Snake symbol in the 12 Earthly Branches. Si is a symbol for the 09:00-10:59 time of day, and for the fourth month of the Chinese Lunar-Solar calendar (which is approximately May 6 through June 6 in the Gregorian Solar calendar). Si represents morning in the yearly cycle, and the first month of summer in the yearly cycle. It can represent either a time or a place in which Yang energy (life energy) is reaching its peak stage in a new life cycle. We use the tidal hexagram Qian to symbolize Snake.

Having a Snake animal symbol in your Chinese birth chart suggests that you are cautious, intuitive, wise, sympathetic, and attractive. It is also common for Snake people to be conceited, insatiable, or sluggish. As a Snake animal person, you have great prudence and wisdom, which will help you to achieve your goals. You have patience to get things done once you have a long-term plan formulated. You would be wise to cultivate the ability to be open: it will allow your internal warmth and enthusiasm to be felt when you communicate with others. Sharing your inner warmth will help you feel more supported when you communicate with people.

Generally speaking, you have a pretty smooth life. People like your softness and graceful manner. You would do well to choose an artistic job, like being an artist, writer, designer, or teacher. When you work directly with people, remember to continually cultivate your warmness and humbleness, otherwise, you may come across as being egotistical or greedy. The important thing for you to remember if you are in a relationship is to learn how to express your feelings to your partner.

If a Snake is your yearly animal symbol, you are elegant, knowledgeable, and wise. You have potential to do great things by educating or advising others. Please cultivate your warmth and do not close yourself off when you have a conflict with others.

If Snake is your monthly animal symbol, you have pretty good fortune in your life. Your health situation is good. You can tell your life is getting better and better as time passes. You can accomplish your tasks if you do not give up. You have some challenges in your life when you are young, and have a flowering life after those challenges. You have a long; harmonious marriage.

If Snake is your hourly animal symbol, you are smart and graceful. You are rich even when you are pretty young. You might feel grief around your relationship with your family. Make sure to take good care of yourself and practice some inner cultivation when you are 31, 36, 49, and 74 years old. During these years, you have potential susceptibilities for sickness or accidents.

PERSONALITY

You are cautious, intuitive, wise, sympathetic, and attractive. It is also common for Snake people to be conceited, insatiable, or sluggish. You are particularly watchful before you proceed with actions, which helps you to achieve your goals. Your calm and enthusiastic nature will help you achieve your dreams. Sometimes you hold your emotions inside, which may give people the wrong impression that you are a cold person, just like the snake has cold skin. So, please practice being open, in order to help you easily communicate with people.

RELATIONSHIPS

A Monkey, Rooster, or Ox person may be your soulmate, or at least can be your very close friend. A Horse or Goat person will make a great business partner for you. Be careful around a Tiger person because it is easy to have some conflicts between the two of you. Try to make peace with a Pig person – sometimes, you may get into fights for no real reason. You will have simple relationships with other animal symbol people.

. . .

FOODS

Grain, sweet spices (like licorice), root vegetables, honey, chicken, and fruit are good for you. But please never overeat.
